Chihuahua is a Mexican state bordering the United States. 

Its capital, also called Chihuahua, is known for its Spanish Baroque cathedral and the 18th-century Palacio de Gobierno, a government building where massive murals depict major Mexican historical events. 

In the southwest, Copper Canyon is a series of gorges that are linked to the capital by the famous Chepe (Ferrocarril Barrancas del Cobre) train.

Divisadero, a frequent stop on the Chepe line, offers views into Urique Canyon. 

Cascada de Basaseachi National Park is known for its waterfalls and bird-watching.

In the northwest, Casas Grandes is home to Paquimé, a pre-Columbian network of adobe homes and ceremonial sites that was constructed by a Pueblo community. 

Also in the north is the border town of Ciudad Juarez, popular with visitors coming from El Paso, Texas, to shop, dine and do adventure sports on the surrounding dunes.

Chihuahua City is the capital of the northwestern Mexican state of Chihuahua. 

It’s known for the Spanish Baroque Cathedral de Chihuahua and the 18th-century Palacio de Gobierno, a government building where massive murals depict major Mexican historical events. 

The city is also home to the eastern terminus of the Chepe railroad, which runs through the green-tinged gorges of the Copper Canyon area.

Ciudad Juárez is a Mexican city on the Rio Grande, just south of El Paso, Texas. 

Its historic center is dominated by the neoclassical Cathedral of Ciudad Juárez, whose twin towers overlook leafy Plaza de Armas. 

Exhibits at the Museum of the Revolution on the Border trace the history of the Mexican Revolution. 

The Rodadora Interactive Space is a child-friendly museum with exhibits on art, technology and science.
